First of all I would suggest you guys to apply in more and more universities. I usually suggest students to apply in 10 universities at if your profile is decent, select three top universities like Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, Imperial College of London, and even King's College of London. First of all you have to mention your leadership skills that in which leadership roles you have been involved. And how they help you. How they help the society in your home country.

So it's important to mention everything in the context of your country. That how you are going to help your country after your studies. So mention your leadership goals in the start. And then you have to mention in the second paragraph about the networking. That in which networks or memberships you are involved. In which organizations you have worked. It could be NGOs. It could be professional organizations like American Society. Or for say like mechanical engineers or materials engineers or like anything related to your field. So you have to mention very clearly that which professional networking you have.

This is really important thing in Chevening. In the third question you have to mention about why you have chosen UK as your higher education destination. Why there is something special in UK? Are you interested in UK's history? Are you interested in the university which is situated in UK in which you are applying? Or something else? You have to be very critical about the things. Just don't write randomly that you are interested in UK. You are interested in UK's history. This is nothing. Just be technical with things. I suggest you guys to mention about the university.

About the programs that you have chosen. For example you are applying in acoustics engineering. There is a very different program or University of Southampton which they are offering in acoustics engineering. So you can mention these distinctive things about your university which you have chosen in UK. So this is very important that be critical, be specific about the university that you have chosen.

And in the fourth question of your SOP you have to mention that what are your future goals? What you want to do after completing your studies? Be clear that you have to go back to your homeland. Just don't write randomly that I want to work for education in Pakistan after returning back to my homeland country. This is not your duty.
